It’s hard cramming for this one . . .

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tom @ 7:40 am

Alissa is doing her glucose test this morning. We’re hoping she passes. She’s been up late studying for weeks now. I hope it’s multiple choice.

And then we’re going to see Revenge of the Sith. I don’t know why I’m bothering to go, the ending’s already been spoiled by all these people. Anakin becomes Darth Vader?! Who would have guessed?

Star Wars movies are the only ones that people would realistically think of getting up at the crack of dawn to go see an 8:00 am showing. Not that I can say much – we’ll likely be in the 10 or 10:30 showing after Alissa’s 1-hour test, but we have a legit reason: it’s going to be 107 degrees today. It’s much more preferable to wait in lines when it’s only 95 degrees out than when the sun is going full-blast mid-day. But we’ll be leaving the theater at the time we’d normally consider going to a movie and will be consumed with that “well, now what?” feeling when you’ve completed what was your big event of the day far earlier than you thought you should.

  1. Padme dies, too. No, I haven’t seen it, but freakazoid fans won’t shut their mouths and stop saying what everyone “should know because, like, didn’t you see the other movies?”

  2. Here’s another for you then: General Grievous . . . coughs! Yeah! I still don’t know why that was something Lucas thought we needed to see. “You’ll be playing the part of the voice of General Grievous. One of your important character traits is that you cough.”
