I think it’s safe to trust Wikipedia in this case . . .

A 56 page hard cover book in that 2-CD/DVD box? I think it’s safe to say that’s probably not going to be cheap – but it’ll definitely be worth it from that track listing. Wow.

  1. If that’s true, I’m so buying that Super Deluxe. That’s incredible.

  2. Is there a third disc to fit Bono’s ego?

Sorry…not a fan. I briefly enjoyed this album when it first came out, but it got old fast.

I have to admit, though: I like Pop. Really nice memories of that one.

  3. It’s not my absolute favorite – that would be Achtung Baby – but I’m still pretty excited about this. I’ve found myself getting more interested in this album over time since it came out – when it first arrived, I had zero interest in it or the band. The hype machine killed any interest I could possibly muster for years. And I still maintain that this album is not that great, like most albums that receive this much attention. Fantastic, flawless first half, then a second half that is spotty simply by having to follow those anthems. But getting all of the music recorded for this is pretty awesome, and we will be able to put together that double-album that this was originally envisioned as from this. Plus the DVD, and the packaging, etc.

As for Pop, it’s the one that takes a beating, and I think it’s far better than most realize. It’s certainly far better than Atomic Bomb – give me Pop any day.
