Day two of the “blech saga.” Blech. I did actually sleep decently, however, so there’s that.
After two and a half years in the same spot at work – a first for me at any job – we got notice that we’re finally moving again. Prior this, at this company, I never spent more than about 9 months in any one particular cubicle. As expensive as it is to move people, and it is VERY expensive, this company loves to shift people around. Amazingly, my team found this corner of the building in June 2005 and just cemented ourselves here. Now we’ve outgrown it and we’re awaiting completion of a big new building, but in the meantime, the four other designers and I will be moving to another building to free up spots for more team members so they can be by the people who do work like they do. Since we’re the lone freaks, we get to go be with the other lone freaks from our team, the four editors, in a tiny little building far away. It’ll be nice and quiet – no impromptu meetings or distractions like that to deal with for a couple months until the new place is ready. It should be nice. Friday is the big day.
Why, oh why, do I have Glen Frey’s “The Heat Is On” stuck in my head? Brain, we’ve been over this before, I don’t like this song.
This Sunday, people, Adult Swim. I shouldn’t have to say it, but I will: Tim And Eric Awesome Show Great Job. Season 2 begins of the best weirdest show on TV. That’s the best weirdest show on TV. Not necessarily the best – but if you’re looking for weird, this is the best.
And I look for weird.
