I’m on

Filed under: Music — Tom @ 10:15 pm

(Here’s a cross-post from Known Johnson . . .)

If all goes well, later tonight I’ll be a guest on The B-Sides Concept Album, Josh Hathaway’s BlogTalkRadio show. We’ll be talking about our favorite albums of 2007, something I’ve been giving such deep thought to that I’m practically paralyzed. I’ve got my list, but this year, for some reason, after the top few, I have just run out of things to say. I’m hoping maybe this, my first on-air experience of any kind, will get the juices flowing and I can crank out my list here soon.

So if you, like me, have ever wondered what the people whose sites you read sound like, or if you possibly want to listen to me stumble over half of what I’m saying, well, now’s your opportunity. Don’t worry – it’ll be available to download from BlogTalkRadio for pretty much forever.

Update: It’s over, and if you’re looking for me I got on about 40 minutes in. You know how you hear yourself on a tape recorder or voice mail or something and you just hate your voice? Yeah, that’s how I feel listening back to myself here. Blech.

As far as content goes, I wish I could have been a little more insightful, but that’s how it is with me. I write for a reason: I don’t speak as well as I write. I have a lot more to say about the album of 2007 that turned me on, but I’m saving that for my “slowly evolving list of favorite 2007 releases” list that will emerge here soon.

  1. Tom, you did very well and I’d love to have you on again. Maybe next time we’ll try doing it without the 5-person party line chaos.

  2. Yeah, it was fun. I’d be up for that. It did get a little confusing, but that added to the fun. Say the word and I’ll carve out some time the next time you’re up for it.
